This video is funny for all sorts of reasons. One, you get a glimpse into the 90-mile-per-hour mind of a toddler. Second, Everett delivers a 'surprise' for Anderson. Third, if you look closely I think you can see glimpses of annoyance on Everett's face as Anderson pokes and prods (it looks a little like Everett is batting Anderson away with his flailing arm ;). Fourth, understanding Anderson's 2-year-old language requires a translator (Mommy) in most instances.
Holding Everett is truly one of the highlights of Anderson's days lately! I'm so happy that he already loves Everett so much and is such a great big brother.

Anderson & the Trucks!
On Friday the City of Carrollton had an event at the library to kick-off the summer where children could see, touch, and climb on all sorts of city cars and trucks. When I heard about it I knew Anderson would have so much fun! So, despite the 90 degree weather and toting Everett along, I took Anderson to see the trucks. Here are some pictures of Anderson's fun! (It was so hot that it didn't take much convincing to get Anderson to leave after we'd seen them all. He kept saying "Hot" over and over!)

Anderson Loves Baby Brother
Anderson loves getting to hold Everett. Usually Everett isn't too excited about it, but today he actually laid on Anderson's lap for a long time even dozing off for awhile. Anderson was super excited that Baby Brother took a nap on him!
Wiggle Worm
Everett is now almost 6 weeks old! He's starting to give us a few smiles here and there along with some cute cooing noises. In this short video, you'll hear a tiny fraction of the noise that Everett makes that earned him the nickname "Pterodactyl". What's adorable is that sometimes Everett will make his loud squawking noise and Anderson will hear and exclaim "Pterodactyl!".

Water Fun
Anderson was thrilled when upon waking from his nap, Daddy emerged from the attic with all of the summer water toys. After applying sunscreen and donning his overly-protective sun gear, Anderson hit the backyard for some fun in the sun. He also got a taste of his first Popsicle. He wasn't a huge fan of it, though, because Popsicles are both cold and messy- two things Anderson doesn't care for. Basically as soon as it started dripping/melting, he was ready to hand it away.

Memorial Day Picnic
We had a wonderful day together! This morning we went to our neighborhood park for some playtime and a picnic lunch. Anderson was very excited about the picnic part. He likes the concept of not sitting at a table and being able to get up and walk around as he pleases. Everett spent his picnic time sleeping, although he did get to enjoy the nice breezy wind that kept us cool in the shade.

Anderson loves swinging with this ball every time we go to the park!

We knew it was time to head home when Reese & I were kicking a ball back and forth and instead of playing with us, Anderson went to lay down with Everett!
