Rangers Shirts

So, there's been a lot of talk in our house about the Texas Rangers lately. Anderson has perfected his cheer of "Go Rangers!" Today, Reese came home with new Rangers T-shirts for us. (We actually have some old ones, so we're not just jumping on the bandwagon - it's time for an update). Anderson insisted that we all try them on immediately. When Reese put his on, Anderson exclaimed that it was "beautiful!" After a few minutes I began to take mine off since it was new and I was holding a recently-fed Everett (who had eaten prunes for dinner!). Anderson became very concerned and told me to "put the shirt back on so Rangers won't be sad." Back on it went, because we certainly don't want to make the Rangers sad!

Reese and I have tickets to Game 5 of the World Series. So.... that means that we will be rooting for the Rangers to loose at least 1 of the first 4 games. Feel free to root along with us on that because we really want to go (in our new shirts)!

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above... (James 1:17)
Only God could create such a perfect set of smiles!

First Tastes

Everett has had his beautiful blue eyes glued on us as we eat lately. Well, the time has come for him to start having a few tastes of the yumminess that is solid food! Here are the pics of him tasting some fresh avocado.

Doing well with the spoon....

First reaction

Yes, he did like it!

A few more funny reactions to the new taste!

Growing big!
The little scratch on his nose is evidence of another milestone met~ Everett has free-reign of his hands while sleeping! No more swaddling! Now we really have to keep those fingernails trimmed because he goes crazy with his hands free.

Everett's 5 Months Old!

Each month we take a picture of Everett with this blue bear and a sign. (We also did it with Anderson). While the "final picture" is always adorable, the funniest part is always the "out takes". Half the time I can't bring myself to delete some of them because they turn out so stinkin' funny. Here's a few of this month's picture-taking session highlights:

The moment when Everett first notices this giant bear that we keep propping him next to.

"You want me to do what?"

"La De Da"...And I'm falling.
Happy 5th Month, Sweet Boy!

Texas State Fair

Reese was able to sneak away from work for a little while this past Monday so we could head to the fair on a weekday and miss the huge weekend crowds. Anderson had SO much fun! He loved all the rides (he's barely just at the 36 inches required to ride them). He was so brave and wanted to go on the giant adult rides too. (He must get that from Reese- certainly not Mommy!) Everett was a trooper and had a great time as well. Mommy and Daddy? Well, let's just say we were exhausted when we got in the car to head home. Both boys conked out in their car seats and we were left wondering when we would get to rest!

One of the 4 "small prizes" Anderson won.

Anderson thoroughly enjoying his lemonade.

When there's action to see, Everett's a happy boy!
