So Funny!

Yesterday the boys were at the kitchen table having snack and I was doing some dishes at the sink. They came up with their own little game that brought lots of laughter. Luckily I had my phone on me and was able to catch some of this...

A few pictures from the weekend

So, what happens when Mommy leaves Anderson in Daddy's care for a few minutes? I come back from feeding Everett and find Anderson outside dressed like this:

Apparently, Anderson wanted to join Daddy outside for some quick work on the pond. It was probably in the 40s so Reese figured Anderson needed something on more than his thin clothes and bare feet. So, what did he find? Not a coat or some warm shoes....no....he grabbed a blanket and some Crocs. Silly Daddy!

Today while Mommy napped on the couch (yes, that's shocking!) the boys decided it was a wonderful time to play together like perfect angels. You know, since Daddy was the one "on duty". I didn't witness all of this, but Reese says that Anderson and Everett played together happily with this remote controlled firetruck for quite awhile.

Here's Everett dressed in his super-cute plaid Sunday outfit.

Snow Day Pics

A week or so ago we got the first snow of the season. It was only a dusting, but still exciting for us Texans. Anderson was very excited and "into" the snow this year as opposed to last. He enjoyed watching it fall and was thrilled to go out into the fun. Everett was very indifferent.

Dressed and ready for action!

Hooray!!

8 Month Comparison

I figured it was a good time to do a comparison of the boys at the same age. Here they are at 8 months old. I think that they look very different from each other. To me, their noses look the same, but most everything else doesn't! In addition, I also think that Anderson's 8 month picture doesn't look at all like him now at almost 3. So, I wonder how different Everett will look in a couple of years?

Anderson @ 8 Months
As a side note...apparently at 8 months, there is a certain manner in which a baby sits in a big chair next to a big bear!

Two Short Videos

Everett's been a busy baby lately!

Here are a few things he's done in the last week:
-began waving bye-bye and hello
-using his pincer grasp (finger and thumb rather than whole hand)
-cruising while holding on to tables/furniture
-pulling himself to standing in his crib
-sitting up alone from lying down
-seen snow
-eaten all sorts of new foods- some favorites right now are turkey meatballs, green beans, hummus sandwich, and fruit

Here's a clip of Everett's early crawling. He's just about ready now to take off, so I'm sure he'll be a pro any day now.

Big Brother has been busy too! Anderson's enjoying all of his fun Christmas presents. The clip beolow is of Anderson on his scooter. He's also turning into a full-on chatter box. He literally starts talking as soon as he's out of bed in the morning and doesn't stop all day! He has really made us laugh this weekend with some of the witty things he says. Poor guy also had a bout of the flu on Friday. He was one sick guy, but recovered quickly once he got on some meds.

Big Boy Bed

Sooooo behind on posting!!! Sorry it's been so long!

We're down to one crib in use around here! We finally decided to switch Anderson's baby bed to the toddler bed since he was climbing out to go potty, but then couldn't get himself back in bed. Anderson was SO excited! Here are a few pics from the exciting moment! He's done really well overall with the transition. He gets up a few times when it's bedtime- you know...testing out the waters. But, overall it's going well.

Last time in the crib!

Showing us how he climbs out one last time.

Hoooray!!! Big Boy Bed!

Anderson was thrilled that Riley can get in his bed by herself!
