Lately!

Anderson had Western Day at his school. He was very excited to dress up and proceeded to wear his boots (which were borrowed from a sweet friend) ALL DAY LONG. He mastered "YeHaw" complete with a tip of the hat very quickly!

Anderson LOVES having his friend Nathan over to play. The afternoons when he comes for a visit are literally the highlight of Anderson's week. They play really well together and it's so much fun to watch them.

Everett is still into everything, literally. On this particular morning, it was the left-opened pantry door. Those boxes filled with rolls of funny paper were just too much to resist!

Spring rain means umbrella time!

What 3 year old doesn't love getting to use an umbrella and raincoat?

Anderson's 3rd Birthday Party

Since Anderson is obsessed with all things Disney Cars, he requested a Lightening McQueen party this year. We held his party at Pump It Up, which is a large inflatable, jump-house facility. In the weeks leading up to his party, Anderson had so much fun helping me prepare everything. He loved putting the names on his friends' goody-bags, he loved talking about the food we were having, and picking out his cake was so exciting. Here are some pictures from the fun!

E and his love of TP

I'm serious- you turn for 1 minute with this guy and he's into something. Tonight, it was after his bath. Everett was out of the tub and dried off, so I stepped into his room to get his diaper and PJs ready. What did I find when I came back into the bathroom (literally 10 feet away)? My little Everett had unrolled all the toilet paper while Big Bro just sat there and laughed about the whole deal.

I do always have my IPhone playing on Pandora's Toddler Folk Songs (I highly recommend!) station during bath/PJ time, so I was able to easily grab it and take a video. The funny thing, though, is that after I finished recording and went to clean up the mess, I noticed that a large area of the toilet paper had a large, wet, yellow area in it. Yes, Everett must have thought that large mass of toilet paper made for a nice diaper. I laughed, but was very thankful that he peed in the toilet paper rather than on the floor!

Oh, Everett Everett Everett....

This little boy is into everything. If there's a drawer, door, or cabinet to be opened, he'll be right there. The other day Everett was playing in his room while I put some toys away in Anderson's room. While he was only out of my sight for about 3 minutes, this is what I walked back into his room to see: Yes, he had opened his pajama drawer and emptied it out piece by piece and then thought it looked like the perfect place to crawl inside. So, I got him out, cleaned it all up. A few minutes later, he's at it again, only now we're in the middle drawer: The next day, I caught him in action again! This time it was the kitchen cabinet. Those towels just HAD to come out! Luckily, what I have not captured on film is Everett's favorite place to "get into". The toilet. Yes, he's fascinated. I've found him with those little hands inside a few times now. (With a potty-trained 3 year old, we can't put one of those fancy toilet locks on the potty!) He also LOVES toilet paper! Pulling it, tearing it, eating it, dragging it. So, the bathroom doors in our house are now closed at all times. Anderson has sweetly started echoing what he must hear often throughout the day: "No no, Baby."

At Least We Know His Head is Safe!

Anderson has taken to wearing his Lightening McQueen helmet quite often- most often when he's not riding his scooter. I think he feels like it's a super-cool hat!

At the park- actually a pretty handy place to be wearing a helmet!

Out to dinner- here we looked like the crazy parents who let their child dress themselves. What you don't see is that he's also wearing his bright yellow crocs and a shirt with a large piece of broccoli on it. Quite the sight!
